Why Friends Are Important

Rohn’s Six Essentials to a Good Life

“Friendship is probably the greatest support system in the world, so don’t deny yourself the time to develop it. Nothing can match it. It’s extraordinary in its benefit.

Friends are those wonderful people who know all about you and still like you. I lost one of my dearest friends when he was 53—heart attack. As one of my very special friends, I used to say that if I was stuck in a foreign jail somewhere accused unduly, and, if they would allow me one phone call, I would call David. Why? He would come and get me. That’s a real friend—somebody who would come and get you”. (Jim Rohn on Success.com)

We are social animals and we cannot go it alone in life. We need others and they need us.

Friendships need to be nourished – we need to see our friends, communicate with them and do thing with them to keep friendships alive. It takes some time but is a great way to spend some time as well.

Don’t let busy get in the way of friendship – we are very busy and taking out time to be with friends can be difficult but it is important. Make sure to schedule visits, get-togethers and other things with your friends.

Be there for your friends – when they call and need your help be there for them. It strengthens the friendship and one day you may need their help.

A few really good friends are like gold. They enrich our lives and help us get through the tough times. Don’t neglect your friendships – they are part of the good life.
