What Is Success to You – Part 2

A few days ago I asked you what success is to you on this blog. I asked author Trevor Blake the same question in my interview with him which will appear soon in my newsletter and on this blog. His answer:

“Success for me is waking up in the morning with butterflies of excitement in my stomach about the day ahead. I have never sought wealth specifically and it is not a means to happiness. I have sought travel and adventure and building companies that make a positive difference in people’s lives. Money comes as a material reward for those endeavors, but money is just another form of energy. It flows. It comes in, it goes out. So long as I am having fun and making a positive difference nothing else matters. I don’t think about it.”

I like this answer. It captures what I hope my readers have
learned here on the blog for a long time. Money is a component of success. Money can help bring success. But money or wealth in itself is not success. There are people who never have much money who are very successful using this definition. There are also people with a lot of money who never enjoy this success.

We will feature Trevor Blake’s book, Three Simple Steps, as our August Book of the Month. The interview and the book review will come shortly. In the meantime I again ask, what is success to you? Let us know – post a comment. Thanks.

Wishing you success and prosperity,
