So much is lost on Thanksgiving Day. It is meant to be a day of gratefulness and thanksgiving. It is meant to be a day of counting one’s blessings.
Sadly, in the United States, it has become too often a day to watch parades and football games and to eat far too much. Still, for many people it is a time to gather with friends and family and celebrate those wonderful relationships.
I am deeply grateful for all the blessings I have. I am grateful for family and friends, for health and for living in a free nation. I am grateful for the opportunity each day to contribute to humanity in any way I can, often through this blog.
No matter how many people you share this day with I hope you enjoy it but not forget to be thankful in the process.
By all means enjoy your day of rest. Enjoy your friends and family. Enjoy your turkey and pumpkin pie. And don’t forget to give thanks.Wishing you well,
Daniel R. Murphy
